TPOH on MySpace
We have joined the world of MySpace and have our own page since the
last website update. On there you can currently listen to
MP3's of 'Body and Blood' and 'Scar To Mark The Day'. There is
also a video of us performing 'Ascension', one of our new tracks,
filmed at the Vale Earth Fair in Guernsey Aug 2006.

More Line-Up Changes!
So things have changed a bit for us again and yes the
update is far overdue. James did join the band but has spent a
year and half of that time in the UK at Drumtech leaving the band
short except for in the holidays. Last Sept James decided to
depart the band after a very successful gig
at the Vale Earth Fair. This again left us short of permanent
members until we hooked up with Stewey in Nov 06. Stewey has
previously worked with Gordie and Nick in Sacrosanct so fitted in
quickly. The mission now is still obviously 'Operation
Enduring Metal' but to get gigging again mid May and to produce more
material with a view to releasing a new cd in the near future.

Line-up Changes
Shortly after the last update in July Simon
unfortunately left the band due to geographical problems. We
live on an island and he now lives on the mainland. Simon is
now fully concentrating on City of God, who's album is now available
and is being well received, check out their site
City of God
for more details. We wish the guys well and hope to see them
on the road soon.
While Simon was settling in, over in the UK, we took stock of where
we were and started to look for new members. We first found
James to fill the rhythm guitar role. A competent shredder
full of brutal ideas for the melting pot. We then had to find
a singer which proved to be more difficult but Stace came to the
forefront so we jammed with him and it all started to fall back into
place. We'll be updating the band page with suitable mug
shots.
We've also reviewed the tracks for the new cd and have dropped a
couple and some are being reworked. With James and Stace now
being in the unit we're hoping to have some cool new material for
you soon, with new twists but keeping to our metal roots.

TPOH Update
Ok this is the longest we've gone
without an update after saying they'd be more regular. The UK
tour had to be put on the back burner for a while due to several
factors. Currently we don't have any firm plans for the tour
but that's not to say it's not going to happen. So we've been
spending our time carrying on with the writing. We've taken
our time over the new tracks to make sure they sound better than the
first CD and the crowd response from the one's we've previewed so
far would seem to say we're heading in the right direction.
It's just over half done now and we're looking to record later this
year.
The sales from the first CD are going well and we'd like to thank
everyone who's supported us and bought copies of it.
So back to the writing and we'll update you soon

City of God not Kill II This
After the work on the previously titled Requiem album was completed
the band decided to reinvent themselves. Now know as City of
God they've re titled the album to 'A New Spiritual Mountain'.
This is a great album which takes heavy metal in a different
direction. The album should be released shortly and you won't
be disappointed. Click on the link below or go to the
links page where you'll also find a link to their site. On
their site you'll find pics, videos and tracks amongst other things.

Kill II This have borrowed our singer
Mark Mynett, guitarist and main Kill
II This bloke, phoned Simon after Phil Bretnall left K2T recently.
Mark mixed “Scar to Mark the Day” for us so he was well aware of
how Simon sings and was straight on the blower when he needed some
bellowing on the fifth, and possibly final, Kill II This album,
“Requiem.”
The album is scheduled for release through French label M10 at the
end of November. M10 may also take it for the rest of Europe but a
deal for UK and US has yet to be confirmed.
On the K2T website Mark made the following statement:
“The
vocalist on 'Requiem', who will also being touring the album, is
'1000 Points of Hate' front man Simon Gordon.
Everyone will just have to trust me on this one 'cause things just
couldn't have worked out better...seriously! The vocals on the album
are simply stunning, most of which are just full-on brutal assault.
Not only do I sincerely believe that we'll be closing the Kill 2
This chapter with the finest album we've ever done, but that the
vocal performance on 'Requiem' is undoubtedly the finest out of our
5 albums.
The plan had
always been for this last album to be the most vicious, heaviest one
to date. And yeah, we've unquestionably achieved that, and then
some!! I really cannot wait till everyone hears the album.”
A
rough mix of a track from Requiem, called “When Broken Glass Floats”

Hail!
Writing new material has meant we’ve been a bit quiet on the live
front recently so we’ve decided to gear up for our November UK
mini-tour type thing (10 dates in venues all over the country) with
a few dates in Guernsey. So far there’s an all ages gig at Chandlers
on Saturday 9th October with a suitably Metal support act
(Silkin Fly have confirmed). We’ll let you know about other all ages
dates when we have them confirmed. We’re looking at perhaps doing
the Golden Lion (Gsy) in late October. No other pubs over here
will have us on cos they’re all soft and scared of us. At least they
still allow us to drink in them.
UK mainland dates should start on 13th November. We are
awaiting confirmation of venues.
Other than that we’re carrying on writing for the next album. Four
songs are finished and new riffs just seem to be popping out left,
right and centre.
Both Heavy & Metal!

Slightly overdue
but here is the latest news update from the World of Hate:
We’ve been getting some pretty decent support from our record label
over the past couple of months. We had a good review from Dom Lawson
at Kerrang! (See Reviews page) and have been getting fairly positive
reviews from the majority of magazines that have received a promo
copy. We had a track on the cover mount CD in Terrorizer magazine in
July and there should be a review of “Scar to Mark the Day” in there
next month. Also a couple of tracks have been play listed on some of
the specialist rock radio stations (Rock 3 Radio and RockBox Radio).
Our continental cousins are now enjoying a spot of Thousand Points
style racket courtesy of Sriracha Records in France who are handling
that side of it. Copro/Casket Records are actively promoting the
record in France and Germany with adverts etc. in the Metal
magazines over there.
Currently we’re writing for the first full-length album with the
emphasis being on heavier, more metal and more difficult to play (aaww
shit!). We’re looking at a couple more dates in Guernsey this summer
(possibly Blindo’s and an all ages type affair at a suitable venue)
before heading off to anywhere that’ll have us for some solid decent
touring in autumn.
If you have any comments on Thousand Points of Hate there is a forum
on the Copro Records website so please feel free to visit that:
http://forums.coprorecords.co.uk/
Also, if you want a T-Shirt please contact us via email and we’ll
sell you one at a very reasonable price (go to the “Contact
Us” page).
Keep checking back to the website regularly cos we’ll be keeping it
up to date with gig news and what's happening with the new tracks.
But during the meanwhilst – Both Hands Metal!!

HATE ON THE RADIO
1 or 2 tracks from
“Scar to Mark the Day” will be played on the next few Monday nights
between 8 and 10pm on Island FM’s “The Edge” programme with DJ Simon
Charlwood. One of these tracks will definitely be Body & Blood. The
other is yet to be decided. This will give listeners a taster of
what the CD sounds like to support its release on Monday May 17th
and the launch party at the Tavern this Friday (May 14th).
Later in the
month, on May 31st, Thousand Points of Hate will again be featured
on The Edge, but this time it will be a full interview and feature.
We’ll keep you updated with more information nearer the time.

19th April 2004 |
Greetings from Hateland! As
you'll have seen the website has undergone a total revamp which is
why there's been no updates for a while. The website has been
themed to match the artwork of our EP, for which, we’re absolutely
delighted to announce that we've just signed a 2-year record deal
with Casket Records, a subsidiary of Copro Productions. The label
has made great progress in the past with bands on its roster such as
Earthtone9, Vacant Stare, The Blueprint and, most recently, Panic
Cell whose video is on Scuzz TV at the moment.
Website for Copro is
http://www.coprorecords.co.uk. We have also added this to our
“Links” page. Distribution is being taken care of by PHD (Plastic
Head Distribution) who are a big name as far as Heavy Metal
distributors are concerned.
The EP, which we recorded at Danny Joyce’s Electric Index studio
last November has been re-titled “Scar to Mark the Day” and will be
released through Casket on May 17th.
We have 2 gigs lined up to support the release of the EP on 14th May
& 29th May details are listed on the
Gigs page, CD's and T-Shirts
will be on sale.
The final mix on it
was done by Mark Mynett of Kill2This fame. Apologies for the delay
in releasing it but we had interest from a couple of labels and had
to see what was the best option for us before we could get on with
anything. We’re very happy with the final result and we’re sure
you’ll agree it will be worth the wait.
Mark Mynett has also done an industrial mix of the title track,
which has been added as a bonus track on this EP
Plans after the release of the “Scar” EP are to tour the UK and/or
Europe this summer, possibly as support to one of the other bands on
Copro. We can’t wait for days full of beer and Heavy Metal!
Thanks to all the people who’ve come and supported us at our gigs.
You can expect a lot of original material when you see us in future
as we start airing some of the songs we’re writing for the first
full-length album.
In the meantime – STAY METAL.
